Have you ever forgotten who you are?
It’s easier than we think isn’t it?
A few weeks ago, one of my Health & Nutritional Clients sent me an excerpt from her journal.
It read declarations according to the Word of God: “I am… and I am thankful” over and over again. As I read, it was a great reminder of who I am, and my eyes began to release some sort of a liquid.
I decided to do some more research, write more declarations according to God’s promises and pray them over myself, and have continued to revisit them.
No matter where you stand, if you are a son or daughter of Jesus, give it a whirlwind – pray the following over yourself as a reminder of who you are in Christ.
I am a purpose-filled son/daughter of the Most High King because of God’s gracious love for me.
I am a member of the Body of Christ, adopted, protected, and chosen before the foundation of the world and fitly formed/made.
I am born of God, and fearfully and wonderfully made just as God designed – body, soul and spirit.
I am a member of the royal priesthood, a chosen vessel in a chosen generation.
I am ALIVE, pulled from the darkness, muck and mire of the world, made a new creation in and because of Christ.
I am never alone, for God has promised to never leave me or forsake me.
I am lavished with love from God.
I am the righteousness of God.
I have hope in Jesus because He is faithful.
I can be kind and compassionate, gentle, patient, and full of grace, forgiving others as Jesus forgave me.
I am a light in the world and graciously get to show Him off in obedience.
I am an ambassador for Christ, an able minister of the gospel due to Christ in me, the hope of glory.
I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.
I can bear all things, believe all things, hope all things, and endure all things in Jesus.
God’s power runs through me as I am the home of His Spirit.
As I choose to walk with God, I am filled with the fruit of the spirit — love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.
I am made worthy of His love by His love.
With God’s strength, I can think on all these things – whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable, anything excellent or praiseworthy.
I have access to the Father and can approach God with freedom and confidence.
I am redeemed and forgiven of all sin – past, present and future – due to the amazing grace, love, and sacrifice of Jesus.
I am dead to sin and alive in Jesus.
I am enough in Jesus – nothing else necessary.
I am a delight to God and He rejoices over me with singing.
I am a light to others, and can exhibit goodness, righteousness and truth.
I am a minister of reconciliation, one who redeems others by the blood of the Lamb.
I am assured that all things work together for good.
I can love well because He first loved me.
I am confident that God is perfecting the work He has begun in me.
I was crucified with Christ, raised to new life in His resurrection, and now breathe His redemptive breath in my lungs.
I am faithful, holy, and righteous in Jesus, set free from my flesh and let loose to freely and abundantly share in His Kingdom with Him.
I am persevering towards the goal of living worthy of the call of Christ on my life.
I am more than a conqueror, a warrior who sits in the presence of Him and is overflowing with His anointing.
I have not been given a spirit of fear, but of power, love and self-discipline.
My heart and mind is protected with God’s peace, a peace that surpasses all understanding.
I possess the mind of Christ.
I possess the heart of Christ.
I am dearly loved.
I can give thanks in everything.
I am safe in the love of God – victorious and strong.
I belong to Jesus.
Go ahead, declare them again…
“Understanding who you are is directly linked to understanding how the Father sees you based on the promises he gives.”
