"Colby, how do I tap into the spiritual aspect of this?" she asked.
I stumbled upon my words as I tried to find the right thing to say. Then all of a sudden I asked, "God, how do we?"
It was then that I learned what I needed to know.
He said, "Colby, in workouts you seek the physical and you seek the mental, but if you want to tap into the spiritual aspect, you must seek that too."
Isn't it interesting how we sit back and expect things to come to us, even without consciously choosing it sometimes?
Often, we must seek what we want or what we know is out there that we need.
"Seek first His Kingdom and His righteousness…"
"Seek and you shall find…"
Do those sound familiar?
"You will seek me and find me…"
"…seek His face continually."
It seems to me that God loves us to seek what He wants for us – with all of our heart. It's an adventure, and in it, we find what we seek – His heart for us.
Most of the time, we know what we want and we know what we need, but the question is, are we adamantly seeking those things?
Since I've returned home to the USA from the World Race in 2011, I have had more supernatural encounters than I did overseas. I have seen more physical healing. I have heard the voice of the Lord speak louder and clearer. I have been given prophetic words from the Lord only to see the fruit of them time and time again.
I have discovered that the goodness of God never ends.
A lot of people might ask "why have you had more supernatural encounters since returning to the US?"
I have asked that question as well.
After seeing the goodness of God on numerous accounts overseas, how could I return to the United States and not seek that same goodness? How could I not seek to see what He promises? How could I not go after it all? How could I not take risks in doing what He says?
You see, the more time that goes by, the more I see that God wants me to seek Him with all of my heart – ALL of my heart. And above all, when we find what it is we seek, we must take risks in putting what we find to action.
I'm willing to take the risk…
I seek…
…pure holiness.
…righteousness.
…to exude the power of God even in silence.
…unquestionable integrity.
…meekness.
…to be the best encourager.
…that my life would exemplify grace and truth.
…proper positioning in the Lord.
…the power of God to permeate my entire being.
…that honor would flow from my existence.
…that my character be whole.
…to be a loving husband and father some day.
…that where I set foot, people would know the pure love of Jesus.
…to be a great protector under God's authority.
…to be controlled in my passions.
…to be the greatest servant.
…to be consistent.
…to be a man that loves greatly from his pursuit of Christ.
…to give everything I have with joy.
…to have the only response, "Yes, Lord."
…to be the most humble leader.
…to hear the voice of God and act on it in every opportunity.
…to be a better listener.
…to love God with all of my heart, strength, soul, and mind.
…that every heartbeat would be worship at His feet.
…to be ever in the presence of God.
…to choose Jesus with every breath.
…to be just like Him.
…to never stop seeking.
I refuse to sit back and miss the glory of His goodness over my life.
I choose to take great risks and seek these things in Him adamantly…
What is it that you seek?
