I got the privilege of leading worship and speaking at a church in the hills of North Carolina last week. Throughout the night, as I glanced about the room, I saw a number of students that just didn't know the love of Jesus. You could see it in their eyes. Weary. Pain. Lonely. Lost.

God kept saying, "Know My Love".

We worshipped, prayed over them, then spoke.

The service came to an end, and my friend Dusty began to pray over and wash the feet of three that were departing for Africa two days following.

As I played the guitar, God gave me words to say to the guys. Immediately following, I delivered. Both men received with awe and zeal, however, the woman with them had, "what about me!?" written all over her face.

I told God, "I know you've got something to say to her. Let me in on it, Lord."

God told me, "She's steady. Tell her she's steady. Even though she doesn't think she is because of what just happened, she's my girl and she hasn't departed. She's standing on the firm foundation [Jesus] and hasn't strayed to the left or the right. She hasn't left me and I haven't left her. Tell her I'm so proud of her!" After releasing the words, "God says you're steady", she broke. Everything within her yearned for God's approval.

Later, I learned that this woman experienced possibly the worst two months of her life prior to her departure for Africa. All hell broke loose in preparation – she was in a horrible automobile accident and everything was weighing on her so much so that she checked herself into intense counseling. She felt that she was out of balance and her life no longer remained "steady". It was just too much.

The enemy was hard at work but Jesus had more grit in His teeth.

Directly after this, a seventeen year old boy caught my eye and made his way over. Immediately we began to chat. God healed his knee, then he sat down. God told me this: "He doesn't have to look for acceptance. He's been looking for acceptance in people and everything else. He's my son and I have already accepted Him. He doesn't have to do anything to earn my love. He doesn't have to look for it in other things. Tell him these things, and tell him how much I love him." I spoke the words of God over him and this young man's jaw hit the ground. Awestruck, he turned his eyes to me and said, "Man, that's exactly where I've been lately; exactly what I've been struggling with…" I looked him in the eyes and told him, "See, I don't even know who you are. Jesus really loves you man, and He wanted you to hear that. He wants you to truly know His love."

You see, Jesus came to take away our neediness.

Take a look around. Today's opportunity is before you as many scream with their entire existence,

"SOMEBODY LOVE ME!"
