There is so much that we as followers of Christ can stand to learn from them. Pay attention to them, listen to them, show interest, and open your hearts because God has a story to tell through their lives that applies to yours.

The more that I roll in it, the more I see that people were drawn to Jesus because of the fact that His radical living looked so different from that of the expected, at least in the religious crowd, whereas it met creation with complete transparency, utter reality and fullness of life as he lived out the mandate placed on Him - love.

It is mind boggling to take a step back and see that many professed followers of Jesus, myself included, feel a need to hide our sin and cover up our lives, therefore we live under a fischad that is more noticeable than we think - a clear and visible wall separating us from those looking from the outside in.

Yesterday, I had a great conversation with a guy that was so intriguing and life breathing, yet he had no grasp on Jesus, none whatsoever. Why is this? It's because of what I stated earlier, the way he lived his life in transparency and utter reality. It is oddly refreshing. Imagine just for one second those things coupled with the attitude and motives in the simple truths that Jesus brought - love people to restoration as they encounter the heart of God - for them.

Now, as you ponder on those things, as aligned with the character of Jesus, daringly live the Gospel as it surfaces in who you were created to be, a transparent, real, life-breathing, child of God who encounters day-in and day-out, the mighty redemption of our King - one in and of the people, for the people.

Start by reading through the gospels (Matthew, Mark, Luke & John) and writing down and praying on the direct characteristics of Jesus that you find - then go live them out in such a manner as the truths of Christ ooze from your countenance and atmospheres are changed when people are drawn to you and you simply do as Jesus - love.
