Today I booked a flight to Bilbao, Spain… for three weeks.
Three months ago, I had no intention of going to Spain whatsoever, but God seems to have a different plan.
I am a coach at the core. Whether in sport or at heart, it's what I do – what I love.
Where I can coach, I desire.
I was asked to be just that, a coach, for the new program with Adventures in Missions called Kingdom Journeys. I asked God about it and guess what? He gave me a hearty, "Yes!" Overall, this will be a one of a kind opportunity for me to grow in the physical and spiritual aspects of leadership as a man and entrepreneur for the Kingdom of God.
What is Kingdom Journeys?
Kingdom Journeys is an epic journey of 14 gifted, highly motivated young men who will be learning to dream and build God's dreams while being mentored by world-class leaders along the way. Basically, Kingdom Journeys is a leadership lab on steroids. (See the Journey section on the website for more details.)
What does it mean to be a coach for Kingdom Journeys?
To encourage, stir, and escalate spiritual and physical yearnings within the men that are necessary for walking into what it means to be the breath of God, destined as a dreamer and leader of the Kingdom in all aspects.
What will Kingdom Journeys look like for me?
I will launch with team one in Spain (in May for three weeks), meet back up with them in Nepal (for the month of August), and either stay for September in India or finish with them in South Korea (for the month of November).
I will continue to be active in Church to Church and lead trips, however this will be another responsibility to mobilize, lead, and learn as I operate in this incredible ministry called life.
How is all of this possible?
Here's the catch – a long term investment in this generation's emerging leaders, myself included, doesn't come cheap. Choices, sacrifices are to be made. Opportunities don't often come cheap and neither does this one. As a coach for Kingdom Journeys, I will travel, invest time, energy, money, resources, and most importantly, release the breath of God over these men. I will pay all of my expenses, but these men are well worth the investment – point blank. There's no question about it.
With opportunities like these and the counsel of God, we can't go wrong – but we can't do it alone either.
